What does it cost to start a telehealth brand?
The short answer
On Dispense Flow the platform is $99 a month on Starter or $299 on White Label, and nothing per order. The rest of your cost is pass-through and scales with orders: the provider visit fee, the medication and the pharmacy's dispensing and shipping, plus your payment processor's published rate. The number that varies most between platforms is not the subscription. It is whether the platform also takes a share of what you sell.
What are you actually paying for?
Five things, and only one of them is the platform.
The platform. The storefront, the intake, the dashboard, the hosting, the compliance paperwork. A fixed monthly cost that does not move when you have a good month.
The clinical visit. A licensed provider reviews each intake and decides. This is a per-visit cost, charged whether the provider approves or declines, because the review is the work.
The medication and the pharmacy. The drug, the dispensing, the shipping. Charged per filled prescription by the pharmacy.
Payments. Your processor's published rate, paid to them, not to us.
Everything that is not the product. Ads, content, support, your own time. For most brands this is the largest line by a wide margin, which is worth saying because platform pricing debates tend to ignore it.
Why does a percentage fee cost so much more than it looks?
A revenue share is quoted as a small number and behaves like a large one, because it grows with exactly the thing you are working to grow.
Take a brand doing 500 orders a month at a $180 average order value: $90,000 of monthly revenue. A 5% share is $4,500 a month. A 10% share is $9,000. A flat $299 is $299. The gap is not the headline percentage, it is that one of those lines is fixed and the others are a tax on your own growth.
This is why Dispense Flow publishes a flat price and charges nothing per order. A platform that earns more when you sell more has an interest in your volume rather than your margin, and you feel the difference the month a campaign works.
What does Dispense Flow cost, exactly?
Starter is $99 a month, or $999 a year. White Label is $299 a month, or $2,999 a year. Paying annually saves $189 and $589 respectively, about 16%.
There is no per-order fee, no per-prescription fee, no per-query fee, no setup fee and no revenue share. Both plans include a 14-day free trial.
Everything clinical and logistical is pass-through at cost: the provider visit, the medication, the pharmacy. We do not mark those up as a separate line, and your processor is paid directly by you at their own published rate.
What is the cheapest honest way to launch?
Start on Starter, on the platform subdomain, with one product and one treatment category. That is $99 a month and an afternoon of setup, and it tells you the only thing worth knowing early: whether anyone buys.
Move to White Label when you need your own domain, patient emails from your own domain, more than three team seats, affiliates or A/B testing. Most brands make that move because a customer asked why the checkout was on somebody else's domain, which is a good reason and a late one.
What not to do first: build a wide catalogue. Every additional product is another intake to maintain, another set of state rules, and another thing to keep priced. Brands that launch with twelve products usually sell two of them.
Questions
Is there a setup or onboarding fee?
No. The plan price is the whole platform bill, and there is a 14-day free trial on both plans.
Do you take a percentage of my sales?
No. There is no revenue share and no per-order fee. The plan is $99 or $299 a month and nothing moves with your volume.
What am I charged when a provider declines a patient?
The visit fee, because the clinical review happened. That is the honest economics of a consultation: a provider who declines has done the same work as one who approves.
Can I switch between monthly and annual?
Yes, and annual saves about 16%: $999 instead of $1,188 on Starter, $2,999 instead of $3,588 on White Label.
